Our Week 2 Take Home Task required us to draw two sectional drawings and two elevations of Magney House. We were then required to render A5 blocks in different artist styles. My chosen artists were Aldo Rossi, Steven Holl and Tadao Ando.

| Steven Holl Rendering |
The first architect that i used was Steven Holl. His use of water color is very strong and i tried to be inspired by how he used his watercolors. My rendering ended up being very linear and it just looks like I colored something in. I learnt from this experience and how to use watercolors. My next rendering was a bit more successful than the first one

| Tadao Ando Rendering |
My second rendering also used water colors but this time i was inspired by Also Rossi. Rossi uses numerous colors and creates a abstract water coloring But he does not just put colors anywhere his specific use of color brings out certain elements of a building. This notion was what i was aiming for but i ended up messing it up so in the end it just looked like abstract watercolourings. I did learn that Rossi's style though it looks simple is very difficult to re-create.
My Final rendering i did was inspired by Tadao Ando. He uses pencils very linearly and mixes similar color up to get a depth in his renderings. I utilized this concept in my rendering and used three shades of blue and three shades of green in my rendering. I also used pastel paper and worked opposite to the grain to give it greater depth. This was the most successful rendering i did and i finally realized the style that best suited me and how i like to see my building rendered.
